Senate Oath of Office
I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.
Since the main responsibility of Congress is to ensure that our nation has the laws and regulations that we need to succeed, there is an implication that they members of congress (both House and Senate) also have a duty to obey the law or laws they pass!
Here are the U.S. Senators who violated their oath of office by NOT supporting “Kate’s Law”
If your Senator(s) voted no, tell them:
- You are DISAPPOINTED they voted against S. 2146;
- You view their vote as one favoring CRIMINAL ALIENS-individuals who not only violate our immigration laws but our criminal laws as well-over the well-being of Americans;
- You continue to OPPOSE sanctuary cities which ignore federal immigration laws and jeopardize American lives; and
- You will REMEMBER this vote when they are up for re-election.
