Calling the Kettle Black

As I blogged tried to warn my fellow Americans – a couple of years ago – in Our winter of Discontent post, Dear Leader Reader  had much help from overseas including call centers in Palestine – yes the Gaza Strip – during his 2008 campaign.

Moreover, others (like the Washington Post) have documented :

“… The then Sen. Obama’s [2008] presidential campaign is allowing donors to use largely untraceable
prepaid credit cards that could potentially be used to evade limits on
how much an individual is legally allowed to give or to mask a
contributor’s identity, campaign officials confirmed.

Faced with a huge influx of donations over the Internet, the campaign
has also chosen not to use basic security measures to prevent
potentially illegal or anonymous contributions from flowing into its
accounts, aides acknowledged. Instead, the campaign is scrutinizing its
books for improper donations after the money has been deposited.

The problem with such cards, campaign finance lawyers said, is that they
make it impossible to tell whether foreign nationals, donors who have
exceeded the limits, government contractors or others who are barred
from giving to a federal campaign are making contributions
…”

So now we have Dear Reader -er, the Artful Dodger himself accusing the the U.S. Chamber of Commerce of accepting foreign money and using it to sway the election. Aside from the ridiculousness of the claim, There is nothing like the Pot call the Kettle Black.

The real reason the Chamber of Commerce doesn’t want to release the names of it’s donors is to protect them from some  fresh manner of hell reigned down from the unholy cabal of the Executive branch, SEIU, ACORN,  thugs sent at the behest of the Tides Foundation and just plain old willing dupes – who may show up to “protest” your contribution – in your front-yard, on your front porch  when your not home and scare the crap out of your kids or parents!
