Or, rather collectivism - in any of its forms - including its 'sick sisters' socialism and communism. And like most illicit opiate use, it spreads like a poison leaving sickness, dysfunction and despair in its wake. No really, Socialism takes initiative, personal responsibility, individual liberty and faith and turns them on its head and substitutes those once vaunted America Ideals with sloth,  entitlement, no work ethic,  personal irresponsibility, societal moral hazards and condemnation of Judeo-Christian faith.   Progressives and their co-conspirators in the N.E.A., reinforced by a compliant "Mainstream Media" have managed to inculcate a generation and a half of Americans who feel they "deserve rather than earn!"

And the addiction to other people's money is a hard habit to break! Just ask the Grecians, who upon hearing about the "Audacity of Austerity" - decide to riot rather than "man up" and take care of themselves.

For those that know ought to know better, the free market (capitalism) has lifted more 'peoples' out of abject poverty and misery than any other system yet devised by man.  While not perfect and it does not provide a guaranteed outcome, it certainly provides a more level starting place where at least on your own merits you can determine what your future will be. But, merit, is fast being removed from the lexicon of American exceptionalism and is being replaced with the mind numbing opiate with 'crack like' addictive seduction called "social justice".  Social Justice is where others make a claim on you time, your income , your liberty, on you and call it fairness! But, it is only fair  -as it has been demonstrated time and time again to spread misery fairly to everyone. Well everyone; but, the ruling oligarchy.

So, a year into Dear Leader's Reader's presidential term and we find that the whole "Hopey Changey" 'thang' was a bait and switch scheme from the jump.

While it should be no surprise that the most un-American of our Presidents - un-American being defined as having the least amount of shared experiences with the rest of us - would have a different view of what is right for our country, it is shocking to see how he is seeking to remake our country into a radical vision he learned elsewhere.

Perhaps this vision-quest for social justice was inculcated in a madrassa in Indonesian where he grew up as a young boy or maybe - by his own admission - transferred from is marxist professors in college or just fixed in his mind while sitting in the pews as a member of Rev Wright's congregation. This version of social justice is not at all what or Founders envisioned!

Our founders envisioned a "shinning city on a hill" where freedoms and the blessings of those freedoms were derived from God - not from Government! And while life outcomes might not be assured, at least we could all start the race from the same starting line. Now, as we remove God from our social and political discourse, we are moving toward a tyranny where what was once assured to us by God is now being stolen by an ever expanding central government to mete out at it's own capricious and arbitrary whims. "A government that is big enough to give you everything you want is also big enough to take everything you have."

The dirty little secret is, that the guv'ment is "sharing" dollars that belong to someone else.  Our guv'ment has NO MONEY.  In order for our politicians to give money to someone, they must first take it from someone else. This means that for every "public" dollar shared to accomplish a faux vision of social justice, that dollar must be confiscated from someone who created in the private sector as a fruit of their own labor.

If the European model of social justice is implemented, we can certainly get an immediate Q.E.D on how that has been working out for the last 40 years! Persistent unemployment always over 10%; and for those that have jobs, wages about 33% less than in America; and a reduced standard of living with much less discretionary spending. So for those on WIC, Welfare and raking in the other unearned "entitlements" your discretionary spending for 'rims', cellphones, flat screens and unfettered entertainment is directly paid for by those that have jobs! If we move to a  "social justice" scheme where we have fewer people working. If fewer people are working, then there will be less, less for everyone.

Freedom the real Social Justice - ... "is never more than a Generation away from Extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again." source   Will you let Freedom die - on your watch?

• if forty years ago somebody would have said that our elected leaders would eagerly be embracing socialism they would have been run out of town.

• if one hundred years ago somebody would have said that our elected leaders would be eagerly embracing the collectivist ideas of espoused by Marx, Engels and they would have hung for treason!

So when is a Townhall meeting not a Townhall meeting?

When it is wrapped like a wolf in sheep's clothing to snare the unwary, uniformed and those chosen to be blissfully ignorant. Complicit in this pretense is the gaggle of Mainstream Media who are willing to cloak the rapacious appetitive of an ever expanding federal guv'ment for your 'blessings of liberty' and personal property. All this subterfuge in an effort to mollify some misguided idea of social justice.

As late as Friday afternoon before the event, Congressman Grayson's staff there telling inquirers that there were NO planned Townhall meetings scheduled for the congressional recess. Ironically they were right!

Monday night, I, a dozen of my friends, and more than 1500 other Central Florida residents attended a charade advertised - in a last minute effort - as a Townhall meeting. Of course, this was a contrived event, stage-crafted to control the audience, content and meeting environment.

The event, hastily arranged - with barely 24 hour notice to the public - in a local union hall, with very limited seating capacity, immediately following a political meeting by the Democrat Executive committee was meant to pass as an impartial environment for discussion of one of the hottest topics in America today - the government takeover of 1/5 of our economy (that's more than 2.5 trillion dollars in annual expenditures) and socialization of medicine in America. Moreover, in the most craven of acts the congressman brings three of his children to act as a shield from voter invective!

The real question becomes: what to do when elected representatives forsake their oath and no longer represent the will of their constituents? Instead, they eagerly represent the will of far away interests, constitutionally contrary ideologies and failed foreign philosophies?" And lastly, will our Republic stand - until this dereliction of duty can be rectified at the ballot box?

Like those incapable of scholarship in Clown College, the leftists in these great United States wish to tread down a path of economic redistribution - well hewed and broad.

Regrettably, the "tall grass" of collectivism, socialism and communism has long since been 'pushed down' and abandoned by most - long since soured on the failed expectations of living at the expense of others!

Yet, while many have seen the proverbial light and realize that once "everybody is in the cart there is no one left to pull it"  (thanks Mr. Gramm) we have a new crop of ignoramuses' eager to pull apart the very economic engine of the world - the United States of America. And in its place these same 'dunce cap wearing fools' would erect a stagnate, sputtering, failing economic model proven to bring misery to millions.  

"Commerce is indeed the cornerstone of Civilization"! Like it or not, there are certain laws of economics that can't be ignored just because they are unfair or don't bend to a scrounger's vision of social justice. And whether you buy, barter or trade it is that buy, bardering or trading that allows each of us to "do what we do" and exchange the effort for what we do - for the something else. Absent that, we will all be back tilling, hoeing and tending the fields like serfs in some feudal fiefdom run by those who would mete out cruel punishments for capricious non-compliance.

Cap and Trade, Single Payer Socialized Medicine, guv'ment owning businesses like some broken vestige from the Third Reich, unabated illegal immigration (not to be confused with Legal Immigration) the tearing down of the very core values that made this country great - and the list goes on -  all changing and mutating of what was once was into to something less... And whatever manner of fresh hell that will  be visited upon us because of "change you can believe in" you will wish you had done something more for your children, for your community, for  posterity.

Socialism is: The Great Lie - by which everyone can all live at the expense of someone else.

The new national health care plan is part of "The Great Lie" for if neither you nor I pay - "Who Pays?"

So who pays and how?

For if you have "no skin in the game" financially then you will bear costs in some other way: perhaps by reduce choice, or truncated offerings or even the tarnishing of your soul.

The "Great Lie" is seductive and politicians use it in the oldest of vote buy schemes yet like some ancient evil, once bitten, victims acquiesce to 'it's spell' and become moral cannibals - moral cannibals feasting on the fruits of others.

The guv'ment has no money unless it first takes confiscates it from it's citizens. So when the guv'ment proposes massive new spending we should all ask; "who pays" - if not you and if not me, then who? How?

So, after electing the most un-American President ever, are we really surprised that he is now dismantling the America right before our eyes?

Whether by design or by accident, it sure seems as if most actions that "Dear Reader" (B. Hussein Obama) undertakes are in direct conflict with our national character of personal responsibility, free markets and individual liberty.

As a gentle reminder, from age six through age ten, "Dear Reader" grew up in a setting that is outside the shared experiences of most Americans. As a matter of fact, while most young Americans were learning about "Truth Justice and the America Way", 'Dear Reader' was learning about something completely different in a Jakarta Muslim school!

Growing up without any "particular religious tradition" or the reverse, being inculcated in the church of Jeremiah Wright, Dear Reader has a set of experiences NOT SHARED by the majority of Americans. Perhaps this is why he can so easily reject ideas of our founders and easily ignore the role that Faith played in our founding and should play in our moral governance today.

For that matter, attending Columbia University for undergraduate work and Harvard Law School for post grad work also reinforce a set of nontraditional American experiences.  And does underpin many of the "liberal notions" of the "blame America first" crowd; again, these are a set of experiences NOT SHARED with a majority of Americans. Again, perhaps this is why he can so easily reject the "Blessings of Liberty" so dearly earned by our founders (and subsequent generations).

As each plank of our shared American foundation is undermined, we drift further away from the principles of our founders and closer to the 'Hope and Change' envisioned by William Ayers, Saul Alinsky, George Soros and Karl Marx.

Elections do have consequences and we could have hardly done worse had we elected Stalin himself.

Now the chickens are coming home to roost and as the saying goes "you can't see the forest for the trees" - 'cause sometimes you are just to close. Core tenets of our founding are being disregarded without oversight from the press, the American people or even Congress.

Yet in the old adage "it takes one to know one" American is being called out as going communist by none other than - Pravda !

America - as we know it, is being dismantled right before our eyes by "thugocrats", who don't know and who don't care how America works. And in its place will be "Change" - a new America where the "thugracy" stifles dissent, aggrandizes itself and friends  and chases a long ago failed concept of "social justice" where believes that they can live at the expense of someone else. And

Sadly it seems,  the only ones recognizing this collapse is the former propaganda wing of the old Union Soviet Socialist Republics - Pravda.

Americans should be marching on Washington - pitchforks and torches in hand to take back our country from those who have obviously forsaken their oath to the Constitution! Instead we will have a ring side seat for as the saying goes; "As goes General Motors so goes the Nation!" Our future holds Bankruptcy, and what meager assets are left will be picked over by our creditors.   謝謝
