CIFTA, which has been rightfully languishing in the senate for a dozen years is now being fast tracked for passage under the benign guise of curtailing border violence and controlling illicit manufacture of weapons.
Instead, CIFTA in a treasonous act all of it's own, that will give to Foreign Troops the Identity of American Gun Owners through US Gun registry, and allow for their prosecution. Yes, prosecution of law abiding, gun owning American Citizens by world governments for "crimes" that may be committed under this treaty.
Like the scene in the movie Charlie Wilson's war, where the character Gust, explains to the congressman "how using the titillating details of personal scandal" on one hand can help obfuscate an entire military operation performed behind the other hand, I had been wondering what was being kept from us, by all the undue media attention over the Swine Flu.
No matter what else may be in the magician's hat, we now know gun control is among the many rabbits. And, not just gun control by revocation of our Second Amendment rights or onerous restrictions on ammunition. Instead it is a complete abrogation of our second amendment rights by foreign treaty! And, treaties entered into by our government with foreign entities do in fact supersede any rights guaranteed by our Constitution or Bill of Rights.
Now, another attempt by the Federal Government to disarm Americans so that only criminals have guns!
US Rep Bobby Rush, D Ill, has proposed:H.R. 45known as"Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009". Source
If passed, the bill would make it illegal to own or possess a "qualifying firearm" - defined as any handgun or any semiautomatic firearm that takes an ammunition clip - without a "Blair Holt" license." Moreover, to obtain a license an applicant mustsubmit "papers" that include Thumb print, photo, firearm safety test, and release of MENTAL HEALTH records to the Attorney General.
Importantly: the bill makes it illegal to transfer ownership of a qualifying firearm to anyone who is NOT a licensed gun dealer or collector!!! This makes it a crime to buy or sell guys to friends!
Criminals, by their very nature do not comply with existing laws. By inference, the purpose of"Blair Holt" must be to disarm the law abiding citizens of this country.
Now ask yourself; "for what possible reason would the federal government want to disarm its citizenry?"
Either to create easy pickin'sfor criminals
Or, for something much more nefarious (see addendum below)
I have often wondered if this is an attempt by Liberals to criminalize many of law abiding citizens in Red States - INSTANTLY - with a simple stroke of a pen!
So we finally know what Dems are willing to wage war for: and it's not The War on Terror, instead, it is the War on Law abiding citizens.

A Little Gun History Lesson
In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars. The first year results are now in:
Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2 percent
Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent
Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)!
In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent. Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not, and criminals still possess their guns!
It will never happen here? I bet the Aussies said that too!
While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.
There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the ELDERLY. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian society of guns.. The Australian experience and the other historical facts above prove it.
You won 't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information.
Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect
only the law-abidingcitizens.
Take note my fellow Americans, before it's too late!

As I said in the Blessing of Liberty, the US Constitution guarantees the right of US citizens to buy and keep guns. Much obfuscation is underway regarding this sacrosanct right.
Meanwhile b. Hussein's anti self-protection record is well documented, let's recap just the highlights: as both a state and U.S. Senator he voted for some of the most repressive forms of gun control including:
supporting a state ban on the manufacture, sale and possession of handguns, is consistently on record as opposing concealed carry laws
voted to ban almost all rifle ammunition commonly used for hunting (United States Senate, vote no. 217, S. 397, July 29, 2005)
Obama voted to uphold local gun bans and the criminal prosecution of people who use firearms in self-defense. (Illinois Senate, SB 2165, vote 20, March 25, 2004)
Voted against confirming Supreme Court Justices who have affirmed individual rights to keep and bear arms.

Irrespective of what the "office of the president elect" says his actions indicate that he does NOT support individual rights to bear arms and also believes that the "State" has the authority and duty to impose regulations on that right for the "safety of the community". . . .

Anecdotally, evidence is up that sales are booming for gun shop owners all across the nation - many are reporting the best year ever!! While 'spinners' for the "office of the president elect" suggest that this increase in sales are not new gun owners but instead are previous owners who already have enough guns to protect themselves and family. . . .
